Beyond The Outward

Finest, I learnt you believe all men/women are the same, simply judging based on one bad experience which has clouded your Inner Vision? All you see as a criteria is 'social class, Fashion sense' , and oh yea 'the pocket level'.  What happened to purpose, vision and other important attributes?

Dearest, you see, you never really know until you try.  You never know how much you can achieve, how successful your idea could be, until you push beyond thinking and imagining, and just start to act: You probably won't get the inspiration you seek, cause these little vibes don't count to you at all.

Most times what we seek and desire is just right there staring at us, and we never get to see or feel them because, we have what we call the picture we expect it to come as,.  But then, "Even the fridge is a clear example that what matters is on the inside".  Look within, look beyond, think beyond, and act beyond the NOW.

2016 is knocking at your door step, its actually hours away.
Don't let your past experiences limit you, strive to be better.
It's a great year ahead.

Happy new year in advance to you.

Its Our Birthday😊😊!!!!!!

Its so cool how Christmas brings out the compassionate part of everyone,as we exchange gifts and food items with each other, long broken relationships get patched for a day for the sake of Christmas.

We suddenly recognize how important the death of Christ was and also pay attention to the flaws we have given blind eyes to.

Most importantly I want to leave us with these few thoughts;
What if Christ was still in human flesh, would we celebrate his birthday as he deserves? Therefore you should treat your neighbors properly and nicely because Christ is for everybody.

Happy birthday dearest Jesus and happy birthday to my lovely readers.

This is certainly a good time to read this article http://bsorlahwrites.blogspot.com/2015/09/everyday-christmas.html

My 2015 Diary

it gives me great joy you are reading this episode, am excited you are sharing my thoughts with me.

The year started good, and somewhere somehow, along the line it seemed as though things would change for the worst but then, God came through.

In this year it turned out a lot of people were hurt and disappointed sadly by me, and yeah I've gone through the same with people but here we are still standing.
Met so many lovely people I can't name them all.

Expectations have been met and some remain expectations but yes am hopeful cause it's not over.

Remember the lifestyle is meant to be "everyday Christmas" so you don't have to wait for 25th December2015, 31st December 2015(cross over), 1st January 2016 to be grateful.

I challenge you today to take out time maybe Minutes, hours or a whole day to show gratitude to him who has kept you until now.

Remain grateful life can't be bought!!!

The non chalant approach to the ungodly content on TV, Radio and the Internet.

Dear readers I know this is lengthy but please take your time to read through, its gonna be worth your time and Mb
The Nonchalant Approach of Christians to The Ungodly Content on TV, Radio and The Internet
Written by Perry Martins —
Yes You, i am talking to you. You have a nonchalant approach to the ever aggressive media campaign that the devil has launched through his surrogates and machinery. You go to your social media pages to pay lips services to these audacious moves but like i said that’s all you do, “lips service”. Yeah right now you are asking yourself, what moves is he talking about? You are a Christian abi, or a Muslim or you believe in something sha. You believe in the sanctity of life, you believe and you know that homosexuality is no way for a society or community to thrive, because no two men can do anything and in the process give birth to an offspring. You have seen the provocative music videos on those popular music channels like MTV, Trace TV and co. Many times you have stumbled on your children, nephew, nieces ,cousin watching it and in every of those moments you feel that sting of guilt, that shock, that shiver that runs through you as you watch the younger ones watching and mimicking the things they see on TV. Your are busy working and building your business, raking in all the money you can, then you come back home to meet Wiz kid, drake and Whiz khalifa teaching your kids how to do girls, do drugs, drink and live indiscriminately. You come back home to meet Tiwa Savage ,Rihanna and Lady Gaga teaching your girls how to twerk. Ooh you don’t know what twerking means….sorry!
The level of profanity, immorality, seduction and raunchiness on the media is alarming. The so called regulatory bodies pay lips service to “censoring”. The artistes and producers and video directors are out to make money at the expense of the morality of the society. The media houses are out to make money too, hence they will play anything as long as you can pay. So where are the artistes getting all that level of money that they show us on TV and they pay the media houses. Enter….Corporate businesses, private companies and wealthy individuals. The Telecoms and beverage industry are the highest spenders when it comes to endorsing actors, artistes, video vixens etc. They are the biggest investors in concerts and events. As long as you can get them to their audience at whatever cost, they are willing to pay. I am happy that the CEOs, COOs and CCOs are, and would be parent of some child somewhere. So i will say this bluntly to them. The decisions you made in preferring to sponsor a raunchy entertainment project instead of a safe wholesome family or religious entertainment will definitely haunt you down. It’s not a curse, it’s a fact. I hear that DSTV has removed One Gospel from her bouquets …Nice one DSTV. God bless you guys big time, and you want to replace it with this bombshell of a movie called “I am Jazz”
Few days back a campaign started on social media to stop DSTV from airing a Transgender Series movie for children. I started seeing social Broadcasts everywhere requesting people to join the campaign and write to the NBC (National Broadcasting Corporation) to stop DSTV (Multichoice) from airing the obviously Homosexual Children Movie. What interests me most is the response of two of my colleagues in the gospel entertainment media industry, our senior, Uncle Deji Irawo of X2D and my friend Emmanuel Oyez of GospelNaija . Both of them were simply appalled at people’s sudden realization that airing such a series is dangerous to the psychology our nation and continent. Meanwhile these things have been brewing for years and they both have platforms promoting and propagating safe entertainment or Christian entertainment and they have been trying to reach out to the corporate world and wealthy individuals to support their cause to no avail. Of course the argument has always been “you call yours Christian Entertainment, what about the Muslims and the non religious”. My answer, there is a fundamental law of freedom of worship and association. People can choose to watch whatever they want to watch. I am still wondering why NBC is holding off religious TV media houses. As for the Corporate bodies who think religious media and events can’t get them to their audience, that’s a lie from the pit of hell. Various Christian events have proved you wrong. I hear some of them have been approaching the organisers of The Experience Lagos Concert to sponsor the event. Our Muslim brothers can fix themselves. As for the Anti religious and Non-Religious, God help You.
My Submission
We are simply nonchalant. We are not proactive; we pay lips service and do nothing about it. We have all the money to own and promote wholesome media and safe entertainment TV and radio channels, internet media, print etc. We have the connections to sway decisions to allow legislations. But we do nothing about it. We are torn between the lines of denominations. What the media sells to people if what they will watch. If you show raunchy and sex littered entertainment, they will watch, if you show safe entertainment, they will watch, if you make the safe entertainment classy and excellent enough, they will enjoy it better. And to achieve that we need funding. Stop being a hypocrite and some thing now to save you children from damnation. The media defines the culture and life style of any nations and shapes her future. NBC should stop comparing religious media with political media, they are two different avenues. Terms of broadcast can be applied.
If you felt offended by my use of words, make a change Now. Stop the hypocrisy. We can’t go on like this. We will end up like some of the western nations. We will lose our sense of purpose.

Proudly Nigerian

Happy new month and happy independence.
Did u know that before we and some of our parents were born there was an anthem before this current one we all sing.

Written by Lillian Jean Williams and composed by Frances Berda. Sung by our fathers, our mothers, our teachers from 1960 to 1978…

Here we go our very 1st National anthem....

Nigeria we hail thee
Our own dear native land
Though tribe and tongue may differ
In brotherhood we stand
Nigerians all and proud to serve
Our sovereign motherland

Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign
In peace or battle honour
And this we count as gain
To pass unto our children
A banner without stain

O God of all creation
Grant this our one request
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed

Yea the one we are all meant to know but I still see some people missing the lines.

Arise, O Compatriots,
Nigeria’s call obey
To serve our Fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain,
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom,
Peace and unity.

Oh God of creation,
Direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace
And justice shall reign.

Written by John A. Ikechukwu, Eme Etim Akpan, Babatunde A. Ogunnaike, Sotu Omoigui and P. O. Aderogbu, five winners of a competition and composed by Benedict Odiase. Adopted in 1978, during the Military regime under the Obasanjo administration while making plans to hand over to Civilian Rule under Shehu Shagari. Sung by me, you, all who call Nigeria their home country.

National Cake.

Wow its my birthday and I figured since the Rice couldn't go round let's share my thoughts together *smiles*

Here I am, its a new year for me  and I'm excited about it but then it got me thinking about a whole lot.

What's the difference in me the year before and now, what has changed and what will change?

So I concluded;
It isn't about how many birthdays we get to celebrate, the cakes, people, calls or text messages its actually about GROWTH!!!

Are you making impact?
Are you being productive?
What have you achieved ?
How far have you gone?
What are you doing with your God-given Purpose?

Its a short piece from me to you. Let Impact be our drive.
Xoxo

Happy birthday to me.

Resolution Tingi

When I began to see personal messages, display
pictures, and status updates with  messages as such,  "its almost time for that new year, new me", "I'm gonna be dumping some people
this year", etc, my attention was caught, my heart is drawn and my pen suddenly became inseparable from my paper.
Then I asked myself what the ideology behind a resolution is.

Join me on this journey as I share my ideology.
Just for clarity sake, a resolution is said to be a firm decision to do or
not to do something. I.e., the act of solving a problem or contentions matter'.

Asides from the above definition,  I choose to see a
resolution as 'the act/ decision to either change or
advance in/on certain things/areas.

On this basis, let me do a throwback.
Two years ago (2012), I told myself I would avoid doing certain things. Only a week into the new
year, I had done the same things over and again.
Strangely, I changed and advanced in those things that needed change, but left them pending.

I realized that for a resolution to fall in place, some things have to be understood, and there has to be a willingness to carry them out.

1) The prize attached to the advancement you require: This is the point where you consider your
gain or loss as a result of executing that thing on your list.

2) The sacrifice to pay for letting go: Here, you feel hurt and you miss that part of you that you need to let go of. Like they say, "No pain, No Gain".

3) The things on your list have to be very important to you:  When everything is on your list
matters so much to you, it doesn't matter the pain you feel,  you just want to work it out and right.

So to have a resolution is not a bad thing at all.  It all depends on how you see it, and your readiness
to make it work.

It is said that "whatever we set our minds to achieve, we achieve".

You can make a resolution at any point and time of the year,  so make your list and see it through.
Nothing is impossible!!

Everyday Christmas

Its no  news that 25th December is Christmas
day, but then
I want to bring to your notice “Everyday
Christmas” join me as I
explain further.
When Christ died for our sins am sure he didn't
pick a date to die
neither did he figure the timing on earth cause it
is written a day in
our sight is like a year in the sight God so I
presume its doesn't
appear as 25th to him but to us.
Christmas is a everyday celebration in the life of
every christian, we
enjoy the benefits of his birth and death
(Salvation) on daily basis,
so the celebration isn't a one day thing its
something that is a part
of us and a continuous season in the life of every
christian.
Sharing and showing love to people isn't just a
  Christmasthing LOVE
is God, Giving and Love are the standard way of
life for every
christian, His Love has brought us all thus far so
we shouldn't make
it seasonal it's  like living on without our breathe,
yea am also
wondering how that works.
Just as He doesn't choose when to forgive us and
when not to, we
therefore should not accustom appreciating Him
or living Christ-like
to a one day thing.
Bottom line is Christ remains the reason for the
season but then the
season isn't just 25th December, its the fact that
he came and died
for your sins and you accepted him as Lord “HE is
the Reason but you
are the Season”.
Stop acting start living Christmas
Stay connected for the next episode

Christmas Rice.

Ever since I understood that 25th December was
Christmas, I always wondered why we had to do
so much cooking just for Christmas because it
was always stressful and tiring.
From the 20th of December everyone begins to
shop for Christmas wears, lots of people start
thinking of Christmas hairdos, and we begin to
hear about carols, carnivals and lots more.
Its at this season most people remember the
popular slogan "there is love in sharing, show love
to someone" etc. This is funny though because
after 25th, their status, display pictures, and
personal messages begin to change.
This is also the period when parents start to
consider hanging out with their children, but
then let's reason together.
PICTURE THIS:
Kemi only brings food to my compound 25th of
every December. She smiles at me and greets
me, but when we run into each other 29th of
December on the street, she acts as though
we've never met before and I'm always like
"what's that all about?".
If Christmas is all about sharing and as we agreed
in the previous post, then its time to "start living
and stop acting Christmas". In other words,
"please stop pretending you care because its
Christmas and start showing and actually learning
to care for others". Remember, GOD IS LOVE.
So basically, when we start living Christmas, love
and giving is the 1st fruit of such obedience;
therefore we automatically start to care for
people.
And yes you can love everyone, after all God has
shed his love abroad in our hearts.
Remember - The Greatest of all commandments is
LOVE.
